[Lloopp] kk.rainer problem

hi folks,
i am also experiencing (another) kk.rainer problem at the moment -
actually i got it since a month, but didn't bother to ask, since
thought it was some hardware problem.
the story is, about a month ago some strange clicks and audio stutters
appeared on my macbok pro 10.4.11 - not only in lloopp, but also other
audio applications (but not simple playback applications like quick
time itunes or vlc) - sounded like some cpu overload, but the cpu was
only 10-20% used. also i have some battery problem with the system
shutting down when running out of power..

anyway:
last week i reinstalled everything, made a 2-partition system with
leopard for business tasks and 10.4.11 for audio tasks (mostly due to
max' leopard incompatibility).
the many clicks and audio dropouts disappeared, but some kk.rainer
audio trouble is still there.

example: i play back a file of maybe 4:30 minutes with maybe 2 pitches
(0, -12) in 0.1 speed, do this with 8 voices, grainlength about 400
and grainrange about 50% - the grain range doesn't even touch the 0ms
lower border, the grain window envelope is set to middle setting, and
i still hear clicks as if from too short grains - well if i was new to
kk.rainer i would propably accept it as given, but since i know that
it worked better before i am wondering what the problem is.

could it be that this is connected to too long samples in the buffer?
it seems to me it works better with short ones...

the total audio dropout also happened to me in kk.rainer, just right
before writing this mail - it starts when i move he grainlength slider
fast towards 0 - and it seems to work again when i move the
grainlength sider away from 0... before moving towards 0 only produced
sharp continous tones - but, it can't be a lloopp or externals
incompatibility, since i still didn't install anything max-related yet
apart from max 4.6.3, jitter and lloopp 1.6...

cheers,
clemens
