[Lloopp] channel missing (plus noise)

Hello there,

Ever since a session yesterday when I panned to the left with hardplayer-4, plus using some sinus tones, while experimenting with vbap (it came with 4 modulators) I have a problem with the inbuilt mac audio driver (Core audio?). When the mini stereo output is used for headphones or mini speakers - I get a functioning left channel, but a right channel that firstly no longer plays out the audio - it also has computer noise as though I had a mic connected to the inner workings of the HD. Every mouse movement causes a signal.Even just in Finder mode.

While I did install a demo version of GRM Tools VST yesterday to have a look at what it does within lloopp - the fact that it has to do with the left channel (balancing in sound preferences does not work at all) makes me think it was something in lloopp 

The internal speakers still work as (fortunately!) does the audio interface driver through usb. I have checked the sound preference panel as well as the audio/midi setting.

The powerbook G4 Titanium runs on 10.4.11

I am beginning  to wonder if only a total new formatting of the whole HD will work. Or would it..? Have of course, de-installed and re-installed lloopp as well as deleting the GRM demo. lloopp and MaxMSP 4.6.3 (without jitter) functions perfectly with external interface.
