[Beschreibung]

Allegedly built in 730 A.D., St. Ruprecht’s Church is considered to be the oldest sacral building in Vienna. Its role as creative space for new music is, however, less known to the public. On the occasion of the “Lange Nacht der Kirchen”, the curators of the Neue Musik in St. Ruprecht Series will present on 24 May their newly founded Ensemble Salz with a Live-Performance in St. Ruprecht’s Church. From 9:30 to 10:00 pm, visitors will have the chance to discover the special acoustic properties of the St. Ruprecht Church in the light of minimalistic sounds.
