Zea & Xavier Charles zum ersten Mal gemeinsam in WienZea is Arnold de Boer: minimal, full-on, electric, acoustic, heart-felt, strange-edge. He is also singer in Dutch group THE EX. Deploying guitar and sampler for intense and high energy songs. Urgent lyrics in English and in Frisian (his first language). Sometimes intimate, heart felt, poetic, at other times driven on roughshod beats and grimy bass lines. Joyfully obstinate, wonderfully bonkers. Xavier Charles is an amazing clarinette player from France working mostly in the international improvised music scene. The combination with the open minimal guitar play of Zea works like a treat.
