liver is the dialogue between the internal organs of a woman and a man a few hours before the former’s death. it is the biotope of sounds that are produced inside our body when we are sleeping. it is the music and the words of our organism when we are dreaming. it is the story that our internal organs tell when we are close to death. it is the secret, parallel life that our body lives when we lie next to the one we love. six internal organs and their music. six parts of our body and their words. the hand that quarrels with the brain. the liver that talks tenderly to the left breast. the songs of the kidney. the architecture of the theatre as the human organism. the audience inside the machine that we call human body, inside the live soundscape of a living organism. efthimis filippou writes a text about internal organs, eternal love and about how people really die. diederik peeters, angelica castello, angeliki papoulia, christos passalis, tom pauwels and mike schmid are the internal organs of the two lovers. with sounds and words they tell the tragicomic story of the secret and sacred life of our bodies. |
