SEBVÉ (CA)

SebVé is the live electronic music act of Canadian composer and performer Sébastien Vaillancourt. Since he has moved to Berlin in 2016 he has been working on a solo act that features various performance approaches, mainly revolving around the piano, body-sensors and other interfaces. He will be releasing an LP entitled “Maximum Intra” in September 2018.

Over the years, SebVé has been forging his style, building a sound-world that artfully combines noises with micro-tonal harmonies. He has searched long and wide to craft and refine his own timbres and to forge complex harmonic worlds into a rather short and straightforward format that is well represented in Maximum Intra.
Sébastien is currently studying at the masters level at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin in “Elektroakustische Musik” under the direction of Prof. Wolfgang Heiniger.
He will be performing live throughout Europe to support his latest release.

BRUNO LIBERDA (AT)

Bruno Liberda actually wanted to become pope, but ultimately chose the process of creation instead. After studying with Roman Haubenstock-Ramati in the late 70s, he had the unique opportunity to deflower the Vienna State Opera with electronic music and to create the first ballet based on electronic music. As a result, his ballets were played, among others, at the opera in Frankfurt, Bonn, Bern and Amsterdam, as well as at the Piccolo Teatro Milano, followed by three opera jobs in Germany.

Constantly trying to disappear behind his sound images and dispel the prejudice that music is a universal language and understood all over the world. If one believes that Beethoven is boring and Austropop exciting and the other one runs away in the latter's own culture and is ecstatic at first, then there must be several languages and different understandings!
